    Classroom Celebration Kit

    * Coming Soon *

    This Kit is for everyone ready to help their classroom come clean + ditch disposables.

    Paying It Forward: Quite possibly the best end-of-year gift for your classroom.

    Rally a group of friends to chip in via our School Crowdfunding Program. You’ll be helping your classroom celebrate Waste-Free for years to come.

    What it replaces:

    Sending anything to landfill is a bummer. It’s a hot mess in there, let’s not add to it.

    compostable foodware

    Commercial composting facilities we’re in touch with wish they never started accepting these materials. They're not fans.

    So many of us jumped on the compostables bandwagon (because we thought it was helping), and now commercial composting facilities have WAY more of that stuff than they bargained for.

    These products aren't nutritious for the soil – they contain plasticizers and ingredients considered “proprietary”. BioPlastics: It’s plastic - made from plants.

    Some products made of papers or pulps are treated with water repellent chemicals (PFAS) to leakproof moisture from food. If you’re looking for something to be concerned about, Google it.

    It’s another example of how quick society is to embrace the newest disposable “solution”/trend.

    And all the more reason to stick with what we know works best: tried and true stainless steel.

    Resuable plastics

    It’s not our vote.

    Plastics shouldn’t go through the dishwasher (heat causes chemicals, such as phthalates, and the BPA/BPS/BPF/BP? to leach from plastics).

    Ultimately, these reusables will all end up in a landfill, and we’re just over it, because the world needs zero more plastic.
