"Lay-flat" Binding - that's what it's called, but it's more lay-flat'ish. It lays open to the current week with a moderate amount of applied pressure, but it's simple construction- no new technological zero-waste bookbinding breakthroughs here, so if the spine gets overworked or repeatedly bent backwards, it's likely that it could eventually lose some integrity and "come undone". Nori paste is our go-to for binding repairs, but with standard daily use, the planner should hold up nicely.
*THAT SAID - about 4 cases of our 2021 Weekly Planners had a binding error where the adhesive was not properly applied at the bindery. We work with local binders and this was the first problem we've encountered in the years we've worked together, so we have their word that this will not happen again. In the meantime, thanks to all the loyal and repair-ready customers that fixed the problem with the Nori Paste that we provided - the world needs more repairing like this and less discarding!
